It’s my signature

It Defies Logic and Categorization

It’s my signature. Don’t tell me where I should put it. Honestly, I’m thrilled you like my work, and that you’re in my booth to purchase it!. The choice of where or if I sign a work depending on if it’s a matted print, notecard, or whatever is 100% mine and I owe you 0% justification for my choice.

Asking me a second time, or asking me to justify why I won’t sign a $3 notecard that you’re “going to frame” isn’t going to make things more likely to go your way, either. It’s actually rude and tacky.

I’m just not one of those artists who believe my signature needs to be on everything for every single form it takes. My ego doesn’t need my signature on my mugs or coasters or this or that. My signature doesn’t need to be on the front of my panels, either.

Most of the time people recognize my work as mine because of the work itself.
